Provide updated patient information on new areas of innovation such as prostate imaging, including links to patient advocacy groups.
Educate patients regarding the benefits of theranostics as well as molecular imaging and how it differs from other imaging modalities.

Focus on educating providers and patients outside SNMMI about available tests, ongoing research, and the best criteria and uses for available diagnostics.

Collaborate with imaging societies (MITA, CORAR) on issues of mutual concern.
Increase SNMMI’s outreach efforts and resources within the imaging community.
Work with the chapters to empower members with outreach resources and up-to-date information about the AUCs, as well as more hands-on training to ensure that all members need to establish themselves as wave of the future.
Offer a “Best of SNMMI” annual presentation at meetings of other imaging societies (RSNA, ARRS, WMIS).
Create new working groups for Resident and Medical Student Outreach, working closely with the Workforce Pipeline Domain Chair, in order to increase awareness of nuclear medicine and encourage them to consider it as a career
Host online journal clubs
Increase outreach to hospital administrators.
Create new working group for Hospital Outreach consisting of key nuclear medicine champions working within their hospital systems to promote the cost savings of nuclear medicine and educate them on the new AUCs.
Collaborate with the Coding and Reimbursement Committee
Present at the Radiology Business Management Association programs.
Collect data on relative value units and cost effectiveness for nuclear medicine procedures and implications for purchasing expensive technology
Expand financial resources dedicated to outreach activities.
Create proposal for industry funding.
Connect with industry to raise awareness about why they should support what’s being done in the field.
Secure foundation funding
Develop metrics of program success.
Ensure a 10% increase in funding each year.
